At Norway House, we strive to create a welcoming and accessible space for all visitors. Below, you’ll find information about our amenities, accommodations, and policies to ensure an enjoyable experience.
General Admission & Payment
Walk-ins are welcome during operating hours.
Tickets and event registrations are available at the front desk.
Accepted payment methods: cash, credit/debit cards, and contactless pay.
Group tours must be scheduled in advance—contact us at info@norwayhouse.org or call +1 (612) 871-2211.
Parking & Transportation
Free parking is available in our lot, accessible from Elliot Ave (west side) and 10th Ave S (east side).
Accessible parking spaces and bike racks are located on the north side of the lot, next to our building.
Unmetered street parking can be found along Elliot Ave, E 21st St, and 10th Ave S, with limited spots on E Franklin Ave.
Building Accessibility
Entrances:
The main entrance (within the parking lot by the large Seeds pinecone sculpture) has an automatic door and a ramp.
The north entrance on E Franklin Ave also has an automatic door.
Elevators:
Both sections of our building—the Albert H. Quie Education Center and the K.A.H.R. Innovation + Culture Center—contain elevators to access all floor levels.
Wheelchair Access:
A wheelchair is available for complimentary use on a first-come, first-served basis. Please inquire at the front desk.
Service Animals & Pet Policy
Service animals are warmly welcomed at Norway House.
While we love all pets, only certified service animals are permitted inside.
Pets, therapy animals, emotional support, and comfort animals are not classified as service animals and are therefore not allowed. Thank you for your understanding!
Restrooms
Family/all-gender restrooms are available in:
K.A.H.R. Innovation + Culture Center’s main floor
Albert H. Quie Education Center’s second floor
Children & Families
We are delighted to welcome children and families! For the safety and comfort of all guests, children must be accompanied and monitored by an adult at all times.
Food & Drinks
Food and drinks are not permitted in the Jean & Walter Mondale Galleri or the Haugo Bibliotek (opening later this year).
