Norway House is pleased to serve as the venue for the 2025 Peace Scholars Conference, an annual gathering that brings together student scholars, academic leaders, and community members to explore pressing global issues through the lens of peacebuilding, dialogue, and conflict resolution.
This year’s conference will feature a Peace Scholars Alumni Panel, bringing together distinguished alumni from a range of disciplines to reflect on their experiences and discuss the ongoing impact of peace studies in their careers and communities.
Moderated by Thomas Hanson, a former U.S. Foreign Service Officer with extensive diplomatic experience in Europe and Eurasia. Mr. Hanson currently serves as Diplomat in Residence at the Alworth Institute for International Affairs at the University of Minnesota – Duluth and is a frequent speaker on international relations and foreign policy.

The Peace Scholars program, founded by Norwegian-American colleges, provides an immersive academic experience in Norway, where selected students engage in deep discussions on international peace efforts. This conference is an opportunity to hear from past scholars, gain insights into global peace initiatives, and connect with those working to build a more just and peaceful world.
