Tidløs started in 2009 as a labor of love for three young instrumentalists with a mutual infatuation with the rich Norwegian hymn tradition. Today, they continue to preserve that tradition, thoughtfully conveying the hymns' timeless messages while mixing in their own compositions.

Tidløs has released three albums, with a fourth on the way, an EP, and several singles. They have toured extensively throughout Norway, the Faroe Islands and Iceland. 2023 marks the band’s fourth U.S. tour.  With modern and traditional instruments and the members' wide range of musical backgrounds, the result is a sound intersecting past and present. The name "Tidløs" (Timeless) is based on this, the hymns have lived a long life and will live on — the melodies and the lyrics! Some verses are even translated into English to reach a variety of audiences better.
