  • In 2000, Mindekirken member Larry Hauge proposed a plan: an endowment fund of $500,000, which would help secure Mindekirken's financial future. His idea caught the attention of like-minded people, and a steering committee was soon organized.

The original steering committee's plan, simply stated:

“One thousand people, each giving $100 per year for five years, equals a total endowment fund of $500,000.”

Thanks to the support of many good friends, we have passed the original goal of $500,000 in contributions and pledges. As a result, the Mindekirken Foundation, a 501(C)(3) organization, was established in 2010.

Klubb 500 now continues its work as the fundraising arm of the Mindekirken Foundation.
