Dance the Winter Spirits Away with Kari Tauring

  • Norway House 913 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis United States (map)

Sweep Winter out the door with poetry and dance

Hygge Happy Hour, 4-8 pm Easter Charms, Rituals, and Poems - Free!

Join Kari Tauring in the Gallery for a final look at the Weaver's Guild Exhibit featuring the "grizzly loom" from Burnt Njall's Saga (it happened on Good Friday). Kari will recite the saga poem, teach a Finnish ritual for banishing winter spirits, and lead a dance to bring in the spring. There won’t be a lot of sitting at this evening!

Kari is presenting this event free of charge. Please consider giving to the tip jar as a “thank you” for the programming.

This is part of Norway House’s Hygge Happy Hour programming. Please feel free to bring a friend and take advantage of our BOGO glass of beer or wine. You can order a charcuterie plate or an entire dinner at our Kaffebar.

This is a free event. RSVPs help us to be ready for you. See you with your dancing shoes on!
