Introduction to Needle Felting with a Fine Arts Focus

  • Norway House 913 East Franklin Avenue Minneapolis United States (map)

Join us for an in depth, 4-hour long class covering the basics of needle felting as well as an artist talk by Eliza Jorgenson. When you sign up for this course, you will choose one of two designs to make. You will finish the course with the small sculpture you create.

The beginning of the class will be a presentation about the basics of felting as well as how it pertains to Norwegian folk art. Eliza Jorgenson will share her artistic practice and speak on how contemporary art differs from craft.

Each person will receive their own tools and materials. You will choose one of the two figures, the Horse or the Viking Ship, to make in class.

The dimension are as follows:

Dimensions of the Horse (HxWxD): 5" x 6" x 2"

Dimensions of the Ship: 3" x 7" x 2"

Register for the needle felted sculpture that you want to make when you select your ticket.

Please be mindful that felting requires a lot of patience and fine motor skills. Needles are involved and as a result, you will most likely get poked a few times. Due to these reasons, the class is for age 15 and above.

Important note: There are no refunds for this class. Please be certain you can attend on the date and time for which you registered.
