Join us for a fun and flavorful journey through the rich potato traditions of Norway and Ireland! In this hands-on class, we’ll explore the versatile potato, a beloved staple in both Norwegian and Irish cuisines, and create hearty, comforting dishes from each country.
You’ll learn how to make lefse, the soft, traditional Norwegian potato flatbread, and discover tips for perfecting this delicate recipe both sweet and savory. On the Irish side, we’ll prepare boxty, the delicious potato pancake, along with a warm and savory colcannon, a creamy mash of potatoes, cabbage, and scallions.
Whether you’re a seasoned cook or new to the kitchen, this class will be a fun way to learn about the culture and history behind these dishes while mastering new skills. We’ll finish the class by enjoying the fruits of our labor for a light lunch!
Bring your love of potatoes and appetite for adventure, and let’s cook up some delicious memories!
